The Evanston Community Foundation (ECF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Dominguez as Vice President of Finance and Operations. Cynthia brings to the organization a rich experience, an incredible thirst for knowledge and a passion for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI). We are very grateful to Cynthia's predecessor, Jan Fischer, for his many years of service, leadership, and dedication to the ECF. ECF also thanks the co-founder of Candance Chow NextGroup for its support during the study. It can be difficult to find talented financial professionals in the modern market, and ECF believes that thanks to its partnership with NextGroup, it has been able to find an exceptional one.

Cynthia comes to ECF with more than eight years of experience in finance and operations in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining the ECF, Cynthia worked at the Lakeview Pantry, where as the first CFO, she was tasked with rejuvenating a 50-year-old organization with modern financial processes. He previously headed the finance department at Cynthia Urban Initiatives, where he oversaw the financial, operational and HR processes for five years. Cynthia has also led DEI initiatives in both organizations. Cynthia is an honorary graduate of Grinnell College and a graduate of the Mujeres de HACE leadership program of the Latin American Alliance of Professional Excellence (HACE). Recently, Cynthia was a member of the first cohort of the Strategic Finance and Operations Program of the University of Chicago's nonprofit Rustandy Central Network.
